You Know You're a Teacher When...

Your concept of time is centered on grading periods.

A colleague of mine had brought her puppy to work yesterday.  She was walking out to her car with it was I was walking to my classroom after dropping my kids off at PE.

Me:  "Aww, how cute!  How old is he?'

Colleague:  "9 weeks."

Me:  "Aw, just a baby.  He's only one grading period old!"
