Hello, little blog. It's been a few days since I have written anything! They've been lazy, but busy, days. I sure do love Spring break!
Friday, after having several (I think I saw 5... is that possible?!) vials of blood drained from my left arm (just standard yearly physical stuff), Jon and I headed over to the church office to check out the youth mission trip garage sale. He found several good paperbacks, and I found one amazing cookbook.

I couldn't pass this up. The recipes and photos inside are amazing. Like these spareribs, for example. They look mouthwatering, I tell you!

Saturday was spent getting cleaned up (yes, it took me a whole day!) for our date to Ohana. We went last year, and loved it so much that we decided to try to go once a year. We decided to go on our anniversary weekend. I got my hair and eyebrows done, and then we went to the mall and did some shopping (thank you, Macy's gift cards and coupons!) Our reservation was at 9, and they seated us a little late. But it was ok, because we got a table at a window, right in front of the fireworks. We got to watch them while eating dessert. It was perfect!

The only photo of us from the night. They gave us anniversary pins!

Our perfect view of the fireworks. You never get to old to love these!

The anniversary cupcake our server brought out for us. This was one delicious cupcake!
Sunday morning was spent at church (great message, Dad!), and lunch at Einstein's afterwards. Jon and I made rice, black beans, chicken, sweet potatoes, zucchini and squash for dinner. It sounds like a lot, but I am doing much better with my portion control!
Today is our two-year anniversary. I cannot believe that it has been two years today since I married my best friend. To celebrate the day, we had an early breakfast at Mimi's and spent the rest of the day hanging art and pictures up on our walls, as well as touching up paint. We had painted the bottom half of our dining room wall (I won't say when, but it wasn't yesterday), and wanted to paint the top half a different color so we got a few samples to try out. Neither of the samples worked out, so we decided today would be a good time to paint over them. Soon, we will be enjoying a tasty taco dinner, maybe watch some TV or a movie, and probably head to bed a little early. We are exciting married folks, and I love it!

Jon, painting over our sample squares. Our wall will finally be normal again.
